I bought this item in December 2009 and held off on reviewing so that I could have time to learn the software. After purchasing Greeting Card Factory Deluxe 8.0 I expected that this software would have been on par with capabilities, but not so. For me, a beginner, the editing functions were extremely limited. There are no undo/redo tabs, and once a picture is inserted (imported), the options for manipulating the picture/photo seems non-existent. For example, it’s not possible to resize/extend the side of an inserted picture without resizing the entire picture. Being that this software and Greeting Card Factory are from the same company, I expected that it would have allowed for the importation of documents from Greeting Card Factory 8.0, and T-Shirt Factory Deluxe 3.0, but it does NOT. I found that annoying since much of what I do depend upon the latter software – a software that I am really impressed with. One would think that someone in the company would have recognized the importance and value of allowing each of these software to be compatible with each other, thereby increasing sales probability. But apparently NOT. For these reasons I’m NOT impressed with this software, and as a direct result I now need to spend more money to purchase a better software for business card productions.

I bought this package when I needed business cards fast. This package is not for a professional trying to make an impression. The cards are cute. There is limited ability to change format. If you don’t fill in a box for a centered card, the type will be off center. The cards did print well.

I spent a long time waiting on a non 800 number for a little help with this program. After finally getting a real person, he didn’t even know what I was talking about. After an hour on the phone where he did “research” the problem was not resolved and he had no idea how to even identify it to resolve it. I spent money (phone bill) and time for nothing. The program itself is pretty good if you don’t ever need any help.

Easy to use, and lots of templates to look at. Good software for the price.

The reason I bought it instead of a general desktop publishing program is that this includes a lot of customization and templates that general packages do not offer. Besides I don’t need to publish brochures right now though I did in 1988 with other Desktop Publishing software on the Mac.
This will work with Vista, even though it doesn’t say it, if you download additional drivers from Microsoft called “Windows Help (WinHlp32.exe)” for Vista. An easier way would be to go to the novadevelopment dot com website and click support and look for the link.
It works beautifully on Vista for me.
